Liverpool Transfer Rumours : Who is Divock Origi?

Young dazzler linked

He’s an 18 year old kid – born in 1995. 95! – who has been attracting the attention of Liverpool and Arsenal according to reports.

The Daily Mail says:

Liverpool are watching teenager Divock Origi at Lille. The Belgium Under 21 striker interests Arsenal, too.

Origi, 18, has scored five goals in France this season and has been approached by the Kenyan national team to play for them.

Still just a kid but he’s got 30 caps at youth international level for Belgium and Belgian daily Hin.be reckons that Liverpool have recently scouted the lad.

Liverpool scouts were in the stands to see him at work while he was also been linked to Arsenal last week.

After playing just 4 games for his club Lille – who unearthed the remarkable talents of Eden Hazard – last season he has burst onto the scene this time around with 35 games and 6 goals under his belt in all competitions.

He’s a speed demon with the sort of youthful fearlessness that Raheem Stirling had for Liverpool when he first came onto the scene. With great technique and ground speed we think that he could suit Liverpool’s razor sharp counter attacks.

But there appears to be end product with this lad as well as the dribbling skills and overall flair – he hits the ball cleanly and has an unerring finish in front of goal.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Liverpool fans, would you be keen to take more young players with great potential this summer, or is now the time to buy big while your stock is high and The Champions League beckons?
