Manchester United vs Liverpool: Scoreline and Scorers predicted

Manchester-United-vs-Liverpool

Prediction for the big one

It seems as if Manchester United’s season has been on the backburner for weeks. While FA Cup and League cup games have been played out Manchester United have been waiting patiently for their next game. A club this successful is used to playing games every three days at this point of the season – but at least they can’t complain of tiredness.

Thankfully for Manchester United fans, the big games are back with a bang, and the next 6 days will define the entire season. Big wins against Liverpool on Sunday and Olympiacos on Wednesday will put Manchester United’s season back on track and give the fans something to get excited about before The World Cup.

In the league, Manchester United’s results may have been patchy, but their form is arguably starting to pick up as the new members of the team begin to feel at home in new surroundings.

Juan Mata, Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj have entered the fray this season and the fans have been desperate for them to play as much as possible. Noone could understand why Januzaj didn’t even make the squad for the Olympiacos game when he’s been the stand out performer for the club this season.

Hopefully the penny has dropped for Moyes now – it’s absolutely clear as day that his best formation is a 4-2-3-1 with Mata and Januzaj either side of Rooney in the ‘3’.

If he doesn’t play this formation on Sunday then alarm bells will be ringing even before kick off. But we think that he will continue with a the same front 6 and that this will yield a hard fought victory for Manchester United. While Liverpool are currently at their flowing best, we feel that Manchester United will dig out a result, very similar to the game against Arsenal at Old Trafford this season. United may not be able to ‘out football’ this Liverpool side on form but they do have the grit and determination postpone Liverpool’s rise to the top of the league.

Manchester United look compact with Carrick and Fellaini sitting in front of the defence. We think that this will lead to a narrow victory. So here is our prediction for the big one.
