Magical player

Manchester United will never be far from the headlines this summer as the theorists plot their potential moves in the market.

Manchester United need new players and they are cash rich so it’s a dream scenario for the tabloids.

One of the players most strongly linked over the last month or so has been the superb German midfielder Toni Kroos. Manchester United are supposedly keen to make him one of their top earners in the summer as his contract negotiations at Bayern Munich have stalled.

The player may well end up staying in Germany of course. But the apparent chasm between what Bayern and Manchester United can offer, in terms of wages, will obviously give the player food for thought. While he may prefer to stay in Germany he would obviously be tempted by a pay hike in the region of £100k per week.

The Metro reports:

Toni Kroos has once again opened the door to a move to Manchester United by admitting the Premier League is a serious option for him, and saying he wouldn’t be fazed by lack of Champions League football.

United would be willing to match his demands, and when asked about this future ahead of the Champions League last-16 second-leg against Arsenal, he said: ‘No decision has been made. It is no secret that the Premier League is a possibility for me.’

When asked if he would consider a move to a team that not in the Champions League – with United in mind, Kroos replied: ‘I will consider everything. If I should leave.’

Make no mistake. If Manchester Untied could sign this guy it would represent a major coup – a game changing signing. He’s a goal scoring midfielder who can take the game by the scruff of the neck. At 24 we could soon be talking about him as one of the best in class.

Let’s see the lad in action. Manchester United fans – would this guy be your priority signing for the summer?
