Manchester United: 10 games in 2014. How Many Wins?

Old_Trafford-jan07

Relegation form

The answer is 3 – and that figure includes a home League Cup game against Sunderland when Manchester United went out on penalties in farcical circumstances.

David Moyes talks about bad luck and how Manchester United can still get into the top four. But, you can’t keep masking the statistics, which tell a story of profligacy and incompetence on a grand scale.

Wins this year for 19th placed Cardiff? 3. Wins for 18th placed Sunderland? 4. Even bottom of the league Fulham have managed two and a draw at Manchester United.

We aren’t taking then about title or top 4 form. We aren’t even talking about mid-table form in 2014. We are looking at Manchester United’s results in terms of relegation form.

So this talk about a Champions League spot, when Liverpool are flying in fourth, is beyond optimistic. Right now, it’s ridiculous.

To David Moyes’s partial credit he has also regularly spoken about concentrating solely on the next game. But we feel that he should now be concentrating completely on The Champions League. If Manchester United continue on a similar trajectory they will probably finish in the Europa League positions this season.

But playing in Europe’s second-tier competition next season could actually prove a hindrance to Manchester United. We have seen with Liverpool this season that not having European commitments can be of real benefit to the league campaign.

We believe that Manchester United should have a real go at The Champions League now and then concentrate on strengthening in the summer so that they can get out of the blocks quickly come autumn.

Yes a realistic assessment……relegation form……….and if the Board don’t think so…….google Frank O’Farrell…………………..All this blether about new signings……if our first team read ..De Gea, Walker , Mangala, Evans, Coentrao, Reus , Kroos, Gundogan,Janusjai,
Rooney,Cavani……….Moyes would have them crocked, loosing form, flat footed and confused, leading to another mid table finish……….Please stop this madness…….He has not got the wit or wisdom or capacity to change……
