Manchester United’s best team vs Arsenal

David Moyes can start by picking the best team

We are looking forward to this game because we think that it could be season defining for both sides. If Manchester United lose this, and get anything less than three points at Crystal Palace this weekend, then surely, surely, it has to be time for the board to sack David Moyes.

However, if Manchester United improbably escape The Emirates with a victory, it could be just the boost that they need to finish the season strongly. We say ‘improbably’ because the standards have dropped so badly at Manchester United. Traditionally Manchester United fair quite well against the open style and big pitch of Arsenal. And how they need a big performance on Wednesday.

As for Arsenal a win will once again hush the doubters who say that Arsenal aren’t good enough to stay the title course. Lose and the Liverpool game seems like the start of a downward spiral rather than a freak result.

One good thing for Manchester United is that they finally have a fairly clean bill of health. They obviously need to play 4-2-3-1 from this point on. It will make them more compact and get Mata into a more suitable position.

So this is how we think Manchester United should line up to beat Arsenal. Actually we would play Mata in centre midfield and get Kagawa in there too. But this is way too unconventional for David Moyes so we will stick to an eleven that is within the realms of possibility.

Arsenal vs Manchester United: 1945 Wednesday at The Emirates.

Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea, Rafael, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Jones, Carrick, Mata, Rooney, Januzaj, RvP.
