Arsenal keen on flying duo – report

Coleman: Strong Player

Double transfer on the cards at Arsenal?

If we were sat in the French pants of Arsene Wenger we would be prioritising the spine of the team – a central defender who you’d be scared to even look at directly and a striker to make Arsenal fans dribble with excitement for next season.

But there is also concern about the right back berth. With the future of Bacary Sagna very much up in the air Arsenal could well lose a player who has offered serious consistency on the right flank over the last several years.

Sagna has been a brilliant servant to the club, playing 200 league games for Arsenal. At 30 years of age there is still lead in the pencil. But he may be unhappy with the terms being offered by Arsenal and the two French giants could be keen to take him back to his homeland.

One player who has been linked to Arsenal today is Everton’s dynamic full back Seamus Coleman. A player who David Moyes signed for just £60k in 2009 he’s had a super couple of seasons at Goodison.

The Daily Mail says:

Seamus Coleman’s ongoing improvement at Everton has been attracting admiring glances from far and wide this season. The Republic of Ireland full back has been one of several success stories at Goodison Park this season as he continues to develop.

Arsenal and Manchester United are both considering approaches for the summer, but so are AC Milan.

The 25 year old has turned out 103 times for Everton scoring 9 goals. He’s also represented The Republic of Ireland on twenty occasions. He’s known as a flying full back who loves to get forward and has a super delivery.

The same source reports that Arsenal are set to offer a second trial to young Djurgardens right winger Filip Tasic who has just completed his first stint at the club.
