Manchester United: Can DM make the team look like this?

Mata - The Enigma

Manchester United best case scenario by 11pm

One important element in life is to know what you want.

Manchester United fans will hope that David Moyes knows what he wants. He clearly has a huge amount of cash to spend in order to return the club to pre-eminence. But has he got a strong idea of how to do it? Does he know who he wants or is he riding scattergun style picking up players when they become available.

In terms of acquisitions we think that David Moyes should try to pull out all the stops to bring in three players. Of course they may not be available now. But if it comes down to a couple of extra million here and there to get the deals done in the summer then Manchester United should push the boat out.

If Manchester United want a new number 7 in the summer then they should look no further than Andros Townsend. We have been opining for months that Manchester United should make a move for this brilliant youngster. With his speed, guile and intrepid nature he is tailor-made for the club. He would add the dynamism and counter attacking pace which Manchester United currently lack. If they are going to continue playing with wingers then they need to bring some true quality in. Townsend fits the bill.

Another who Manchester United to go the extra mile for is Luke Shaw. As a Chelsea fan through childhood you would imagine that The Blues have the upper hand on this one. But with Cesar Azpilicueta playing so well first-team football would not be guaranteed for the left back at Chelsea. Manchester United would probably throw him straight in at the deep end.

Toni Kroos – we have spoken much about this player over the last few days. He’s quite an old-fashioned player in as much as he does everything in the midfield. He tackles, defends, passes, runs, shoots and creates. An all round must-have.

So, imagine if you will, a team that looks like this by the beginning of next season. Even Manchester City would get nervous about playing this lot. We have put Juan Mata in central midfield to pull the strings next to Kroos. What a team!

im sorry but the team you have posted is quite ridiculous. having mata and kroos in center midfield is a horrible idea as they both cannot tackle or defend. Also townsend in my opinion is not a top 4 player he has not proven himself to the spurs squad so why would we take him

That team is horrible !!!!! Rio in defence is a deffo no no. And we have no defensive midfielders. We would get torn apart by the top teams

Has to be the last time I’m ever taking this author seriously. Juan Mata in a two-man central midfield? Rio Ferdinand at the heart of our defence? Andros fucking Townsend? Having a laugh are we?
