West Ham have been linked with numerous strikers

Goals. Lots of them. That is what is required at West ham right now. With the big man struggling to overcome injury and little in reserve (with an honourable mention to Maiga – who we still like) West Ham seriously need to sign some extra class for the attacking third of the field.

We would be very surprised indeed if the window closes without at least one more addition to the West Ham attack. Scores of names have been mentioned in relation to a move to East London but, as yet, big bids haven’t gone in.

One name to be mentioned is Italy hit man Fabio Quagliarella. The veteran, who has 25 caps for his country (6 goals), has played for no less than 8 Italian clubs in his time – and he’s scored goals wherever he’s been.

He’s never been a prolific striker. He’s more a 1 in 3 sort of guy with other qualities to embellish his game. But he’s got goals at the top level including 23 in 79 since joining his current club Juventus in 2010.

But, with new signings like Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to call on, it may be time for the 30 year old to sample yet another club.

SkyBet make West Ham favourites for his signature at odds of 8/1. It’s anyone’s guess who West Ham will end up with in January but we think this guy would do well under Big Sam at West Ham.

Let’s see the lad in action. CLICK FOR QUAG.
