If Manchester United still want to make something of their season they need to spend money urgently on the centre of the park. As we know it’s hard getting top quality in January but here are three that could feasibly make the move and save Manchester United’s season.
Ilkay Gundogan – His contract at Dortmund is close to expiring. The player himself hasn’t made any comments on rumours that he could leave Dortmund. This would normally suggest that a player is open to offers. The player would add dynamism , accuracy and attacking intent to United’s midfield . Gundogan is top class.
Ander Herrera – His on off move to Manchester United could be back on. But the buying club will want to do this one quietly and quickly, or not at all, after the farce which surrounded his proposed transfer in the summer. Hasn’t shone for his club this season so Moyes may think this one too big a risk after failing with Fellaini.
Wesley Sneijder – Proven class. Sneijder has come back on the radar after an excellent stint at Galatasaray. Still only 29 and would cost far less in salary and fees than Inter were charging two years ago. Would be a great Manchester United signing – goals and midfield panache – a no brainer if he wants to come.
