Has this earned RVP legend status at Manchester United?

RVP wins legendary status in record time

Arsene Wenger yesterday confirmed that new Manchester United hero Robin van Persie turned down a £300k a week contract The Etihad, to become a United player.

In a refreshing turn of events, a top football star has bucked the latest mercenary trends, by prioritising football over money. Robin van Persie said that he chose the red half of Manchester because ‘the little boy inside me was screaming for Manchester United’, and Wenger has now asserted that this statement was more than just a throwaway sound byte to please his new club.

The independent has quoted Wenger as saying:

“It is true that Manchester City interested (sic) in him and he has chosen to go to United,” …….. “He could come out more on the reasons but I didn’t want to know more about that”

Wenger clearly has a respect for the player despite him leaving The Emirates, and if RVP hasn’t already cemented his place in Manchester United hearts with the superb start to his Old Trafford career, he will surely gain legendary status after this latest admission. Robin van Persie is already well on the way to the Manchester United hall of fame.

Would these be the same Man Utd fans that wrecalling him a rapist last season that now aclaim him as a “Utd legend”? Thought so!
Everyone knows that Arsenal will not pay their tops stars what they are worth due to the profiteering of their American owners as as a result one by one they leave! If he’d been offfered whatever Utd are paying him to stay – he would have stayed so let’s know kid ourselves please!
